Something inside me wanted to start anew. Decades of successful practice working for well-known design firms in Australia and across the globe was entirely rewarding however a new challenge beckoned. A well-established career, a network of clients who had become friends, a portfolio of work to be immensely proud of and a continued ambition to just keep getting better. It wasn’t an act of rebellion; it had been building and now demanded an answer to that question that kept arriving in the quiet nights… can I do this my way?

I love architecture and design. I love problem solving, meeting people and connecting over the desire to make buildings and spaces better. I love the process of co-ordinating with other like-minded people passionate in their field to bring a project together. From aiding a client in the initial site acquisition, to posturing what could be in response to a client brief.

Developing a design where you heart is not just on your sleeve but on the page. The investigation, testing, teasing, sketching, rendering, drawing, specifying.. each part of it enlivens the mind and the soul. I’ll do this to the end of days.
