The nation's tallest residential building, Australia 108, has recently sold its penthouse, and the price is phenomenal.
Located atop of Australia 108, the penthouse sold for a staggering $25m AUD. Spread across the entire 100th floor, it is the highest residential apartment in the Southern Hemisphere, and is also the single most expensive apartment ever sold in Australian real estate history.
Bought by a Chinese businessman who at this point has had his information undisclosed, now owns the stage-piece of Australian apartment real estate.
In November last year, two Bondi apartments sold for a total of $25m, and the previous Melbourne record was an apartment located in the highly sought-after 150 East Complex for $19.3m.
The 750sqm apartment, which includes staggering, 360 degree uninterrupted views of Melbourne, can only be accessed by a private glass elevator - adding an even more prestigious vibe to the cloud palace.
