The Melbourne suburb of Camberwell, 10 kilometres east of the CBD, is renowned for its tree-lined streets, abundant parks and gardens and proximity to popular shops and restaurants, particularly those at Camberwell Junction and dotted along Burke Road and Toorak Road.

Serviced by esteemed primary and secondary schools, the affluent, family-friendly suburb attracts owner-occupiers, downsizers and rightsizers, keen to engrain themselves in the prestigious way of life and access the premier educational institutions for their children.

Historically a haven for detached homes - often sprawling mansions for the middle-class - the increased demand for residences in Camberwell has seen the suburb embrace stylish, immaculately-designed apartments to cater for the growing population.

Enter - Kirra Gardens.

Recently installing the final piece of structure on the 44-apartment complex, Kirra Gardens will be ready for residents to move into by Christmas 2024 – and homebuyers who purchase a piece of their Kirra Gardens paradise before this Christmas could be eligible for a $20,000 cashback*.

Kirra Gardens epitomises distinguished design. A collaboration between C.Kairouz Architects and Durie Design, the building was conceived to evoke a sense of style while complementing its organic surroundings, with C.Kairouz Architects principal Chahid Kairouz stating, “Thoughtful and striking details are threaded throughout, highlighting the exterior forms.”

Internally, floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the apartments in natural light. Towering archways punctuate the apartments with a sense of heightened space and style, while monochromatic tones extend to the building’s exterior. Miele or Gaggenau appliances cater to the master-chefs in the homes and brushed nickel tapware provides a polished and practical finish.

From the streetscape, natural textures and up-sweeping, curved balconies designed to accommodate draping plants perfectly blend with the suburb renowned for its rich greenery.  Homebuyers can relish in the sanctuary of their private gardens and outdoor terraces or opt to socialise with their neighbours in the community garden – that’s also an edible garden – and barbeque area.

Chahid Kairouz said that when crafting Kirra Gardens, it was crafted as a home the design team would love to live in.

“The form references traditional and elegant architectural elements with its inviting archways and grand columns, which welcome visitors and engage with the streetscape, presenting a contemporary palatial feel,” he said.

Sustainable design practices were also important to the team, with Kirra Gardens taking out gold in the 2022 Better Future category of the Melbourne Design Awards.

The 7-Star rated building incorporates rainwater gardens and a heat pump system for hot water which is powered by solar harvesting, while LightBridge glass helps naturally regulate the heating and cooling of the apartments. Car charging stations are also available for residents with electric vehicles.

Starting from $865,000, Kirra Gardens is 65% sold. For more information on this new Camberwell complex, click here.
