Construction is already underway at Saxon Street by Milieu, marking an exciting new chapter for this thoughtfully designed Brunswick community.
Set within the Merri-bek Arts and Culture Precinct, the project brings these new homes to one of Melbourne’s most creative and connected neighbourhoods.
Having recently announced it’s partnering once again with long-term collaborators Manresa Constructions, Milieu continues to demonstrate its commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and design that endures.
A collaboration built on experience
This milestone marks Milieu’s fourth project with Manresa, following the successful delivery of 1 Wilson Ave (2022), Otter Place (2024), and Plant Street in Malvern (2025). Together, the partnership has consistently realised multi-residential projects that are both beautiful and purposeful.
Manresa - part of the McCorkell Brown Group, a well-respected Melbourne builder established in 1928 - brings almost a century of construction experience. Their portfolio spans celebrated residential developments and civic landmarks alike, including Balam Balam Place, the new cultural hub located right next door to Saxon Street by Milieu.
“We are extremely happy to be working with Manresa on this project. They care about the detail and quality, and this shows on the previous projects we have completed together,” says Michael McCormack, Milieu’s managing director.
“To see Saxon Street start construction this quickly from the first sales release is a testament to the design of the project.”
Thoughtful design, real-life living
Saxon Street continues Milieu’s design philosophy, creating homes that are design-focused with sustainability as standard.
Each residence is shaped for daily life, balancing functionality with warmth.
Inside, granite and stainless steel benchtops, Phoenix tapware, Fisher & Paykel appliances, and timber flooring set a refined tone. Details such as welcome stations, clever storage solutions, and five dedicated recycling streams show Milieu’s dedication to the small things that make a big difference.
Outside, the building’s curved balconies soften its form while a communal rooftop terrace offers shared spaces to unwind, entertain, and connect – a reflection of Brunswick’s social, creative spirit.

Sustainability remains at the core of Saxon Street’s design. The project is fossil fuel-free, EV charging ready, and achieves an impressive 7.5-star average NatHERS rating, ensuring energy efficiency, lower bills, and year-round comfort.
“Our designs focus on functionality and durability with sustainability as standard,” adds Michael.
“That means creating spaces people want to live in, and communities that can thrive well into the future.”
Connected to culture and community
Positioned within walking distance of Brunswick Baths, Sydney Road, Balam Balam Place, and green spaces like Princes Park and Royal Park, Saxon Street residents will experience Brunswick’s trademark mix of creativity, culture, and convenience. Everything is within walking distance so you don't need a car, yet all apartments have at least one car space.
The project’s location within the Merri-bek Arts and Culture Precinct places it at the intersection of heritage, innovation, and community life.
Now under construction, and still time to save
With construction progressing under Manresa Constructions, Saxon Street by Milieu is transforming from vision to reality. For purchasers, maximum stamp duty savings for all apartments still apply.
Move-in is scheduled for early 2027, a moment that will see another milestone added to Milieu’s growing legacy of people-first, design-led developments.
