Tucked away in one of Melbourne’s most exclusive suburbs, Toorak, The Springfield is a collection of just 19 exceptional residences that are a true example of designer craftsmanship.
To create homes that would deliver a lifestyle unparalleled, developer Chapter Group collaborated with K2LD Architects and Interiors. Their joint vision for The Springfield’s interiors included expansive apartments and penthouses where every luxury of modern living would be considered and delivered.
With an approach hinged on industry expertise and artisan aspirations, the team focused their attention on the kitchen, where evidence of fluid functionality, impressive aesthetics and enduring quality reign without restraint.
K2LD architect Tisha Lee found the designer kitchen at Salone del Mobile, Milan’s renowned furniture fair. The culinary space is a collaboration between high-end Italian furniture manufacturer, Molteni&C Dada, and Vincent Van Duysen, a well-known architect and designer from Belgium. This particular kitchen design will make its world debut at The Springfield.
The meticulously engineered kitchen features a beautifully proportioned marble island bench stretching five metres, an inviting centrepiece for the household’s social activity that connects seamlessly to the living area and balcony.
“The Springfield indulges the avid entertainer with impeccably specified and custom-made kitchens by Italian manufacturer, Molteni&C Dada. This has been a major drawcard for the project within the Toorak market,” explained Dean Lefkos, Director of Chapter Group. “Buyers have also been particularly impressed with the Molteni&C Dada joinery and expansive private outdoor areas that provide refuge for quiet contemplation or entertaining.”
Featuring warm, honey-coloured timber, the overall mood of the space is calm with a sense of superior allure. To complement the attractive design, the kitchen is fitted with fully integrated Gaggenau appliances, which combine first-class performance and timeless elegance with the space’s organic hues and textures.
Kitchens at The Springfield will also boast a full-scale butler’s pantry, providing a meal prepping facility and also ample storage space to keep food, bulkier appliances such as blenders, or special dining sets only to be used on rare occasions.
Taking up its proud position as the hero of the home, the opulent kitchen will prove to be a dynamic space that caters to its owners’ needs with flexibility and reliability.
Households that host glamorous parties will make great use of the generous benchtop for laying out champagne glasses and canapés. Families with children who enjoy weekends of baking will find all the space, tools and appliances necessary to become international pastry chefs for the day. Those who plan to invite the whole family around on Sundays will find great pleasure in preparing delicious meals in a state-of-the-art kitchen.
Those seeking a luxury two or three bedroom apartment in Toorak that places a stunning, effortlessly chic kitchen at the heart of the architecture and lifestyle need look no further than The Springfield.
