Since our last look at the premium apartments of One A in Erskineville, the project has come on in leaps and bounds, with construction well underway.

Interest has certainly been high, with One A’s sales agents working through around 60 enquiries from over the holiday break — no doubt boosted by potential buyers getting in the right mind for a smart purchase to kick off 2017. In total, 140 out of the 175 apartments have already been purchased off the plan, garnering impressive stamp duty savings for those purchasers.

Erskineville is set to be the next bright young thing in Sydney’s inner west, a leafy suburb on a path to becoming the kind of vibey neighbourhood that attracts those looking for an easy CBD commute and a cool place to relax on the weekend. And with its decidedly premium approach, One A is on line to deliver luxurious homes at some of the most affordable price points in the area.

Brought to life by boutique residential developer, Linear Group, in partnership with listed property trust, Abacus Property, this collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments shows off the quality results of their partnership with Kannfinch Design and Breakspear Architects. Add BKH Interiors into the mix and there’s little surprise this project has received plenty of attention.

One A is a major project in the rejuvenation of the formerly industrial Ashmore Precinct, with apartments designed to offer the kind of lifestyle opportunities that sit well with being amongst a busy new community.

Through the considered use of sophisticated textures and materials, it’s clear these homes are modernist at heart. Open plan in nature, each area is defined by its materials, with details including warm oak timber flooring, designer tapware and terrazzo stone tiling.

Internal colour palettes are typically understated, drawn from nature in their use of greys and soft whites, perfect for buyers to personalise their home and make their own mark.

Delivering on the new neighbourhood’s connected environment even within the building itself, residents will enjoy the benefits of communal green spaces, lush internal courtyards and reflecting pools.

There’s further scope for living a life surrounded by greenery thanks to the copious planting and landscaping, including feature planting along private balconies (cleverly employing adjustable canvas awnings to shade you from the northern sun) and the building’s outer forms. All of this links these homes to the very nature of the tree-lined streets surrounding them.

Completion of One A is scheduled for later this year. For those keen to take a look the good news is the brand new display will be opening after Australia Day, situated on Coulson Street, at the entry to the development site.

With the property market and desirable suburbs continuing to demand higher prices, it could be a smart move to get in on Erskineville before City of Sydney’s Master Planned improvements make it even more desirable – particularly as One A’s apartments look like being considerably more affordable than those in comparable projects nearby.
