A development application for a multi-residential project by Joe Adsett Architects has recently been approved. Located at 20 Queen of Colonies Parade, Moffat Beach, the development site is perfectly situated in a coastal suburb considered by some to be the Sunshine Coast’s hidden gem.

The 638 sqm lot sits on a rare North-facing avenue, atop the sprawling cliffs of Moffat Beach. This prime location will ensure that these luxury residences experience panoramic views from Moffat Beach to Point Cartwright.

Joe Adsett, Director of Joe Adsett Architects, says that “The uniqueness of the location is all to do with the natural beauty that’s afforded by a north-facing beach where you get these rocky outcrops, beautiful headlands, and great surfing breaks.

“We receive enquiries every week through our website, with people seeking this unique location and offering,” Adsett continues. “You don’t have to look hard to realise why it’s so popular.”

Elegantly named Lagune, the proposed development will comprise five full-floor apartments offering four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a central courtyard, direct lift access, and two car parking spaces each. The size of residences will range from 270 sqm.

Lagune will feature two lap swimming pools, full-height glazing, outdoor showers, and marvellous ocean views across its amenities.

“In architecture, we’re always seeking north in our designs and the way in which we orient our living spaces,” Adsett explains.

The architecture of Lagune will execute this sentiment perfectly with clean, sweeping arcs that embrace the elegant residences and frame magnificent views of the glittering ocean beyond.

Drawing inspiration from the surrounding coastal elements, residents will find hints of the Sunshine Coast’s local flora and materials within their home and the building. Through such considered design, Joe Adsett Architects will create an everlasting connection between the residents, environment, and community to establish a wonderful sense of home and tranquillity in Lagune.
