Harry Triguboff’s Meriton is now Australia’s leading property developer following a huge 2013/14.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics figures are due in October, yet HIA Housing 100 has estimated that housing-starts have increased by 12.7% over the past 12 months. Australia’s Top 100 builders increased their home starts by a staggering 30.6% to 66, 764 individual homes.
Meriton, owned by BRW Rich Lister Harry Triguboff, has topped the charts. Billionaire, Harry Triguboff, Australia’s 8th richest person, now possesses Australia’s most prosperous and active developer. Meriton’s commencements rose from 2,573 last year to 7,929 this year.
BGC Australia came in second with 5004 starts, with Alcock Brown-Neaves, Metricon Homes, Simonds Group and Brookfield Multiples filling the remainder of the top 5.
