Paramount on Parkes, ALAND’s latest $357 million development in the Parramatta CBD, celebrated a key construction milestone with a traditional ‘Topping Out’ ceremony. The event symbolised the successful completion of the 46-storey mixed-use development's construction phase.

The age-old ritual, which involves hoisting a Christmas tree onto the top floor of the building, was held on the peak level of the Parkes Street complex in Harris Park. The honourable guests at the event included federal MP for Parramatta, Dr Andrew Charlton, Parramatta’s Lord Mayor, Cr Pierre Esber, CEO of Urban Taskforce Australia, Mr Tom Forrest, and President of Little India Australia, Mr Gurmeet Tuli.

The new tower, set to be completed in August this year, features 331 luxury apartments, a ground-floor retail square, and six floors dedicated to commercial space at the summit. ALAND’s Founder and Owner, Andrew Hrsto, who was born and raised in western Sydney, mentioned his immense pride in Paramount on Parkes, referring to it as one of ALAND’s largest and most complex projects.

“Paramount stands as a beacon of our enduring commitment to providing much-needed housing in Paramatta CBD and Western Sydney generally,” Mr Hrsto said at the celebratory event.

“With its blend of residential apartments, ground floor retail and commercial spaces this building illustrates our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of this community but is also a landmark achievement in ALAND’s own journey,” he added.

Mr Hrsto also acknowledged the contribution of the 5,000-strong workforce that laboured on the 156-metre-high tower and ALAND’s many trusted suppliers and sub-contractors.

“On this momentous occasion, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have contributed to the realisation of this visionary project,” he said.

Another crucial focus of the ceremony was to reaffirm ALAND’s ongoing collaboration with both state and local authorities. The aim is to address the prevalent housing supply problems in New South Wales.

Designed by Sketch Design Group, Paramount on Parks is a modern edifice with numerous sustainable features. It showcases efficient use of wind, water, and solar energy, state-of-the-art security technology and NBN cabling to stay well ahead in the digital landscape. The unique curved exterior mirrors the nearby Paramatta River's meandering flow, softening the visual impact of the tower that serves as a gateway to the city.

The luxurious apartments, available in one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations, offer open-plan living, floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, and superior appliances and finishes. Residents will enjoy access to resort-style amenities including an outdoor swimming pool and beautifully landscaped gardens.
