Gold Coast housing prices grew almost four times as expected during 2021. CoreLogic's February 2022 regional market update shows that house prices rose by 36% and apartments by 26%, with prices set to rise further amid predictions that the city will outperform all other Australian capital cities this year. The latest property reports reveal that median house prices in the Gold Coast are now near the $1 million mark, with many buyers now looking towards townhomes for their next purchase.

Moving from a traditional detached house to a townhouse is anything but a compromise, though - previously land-locked residents from around the nation are making a permanent move to the coast with jaw-dropping, luxury townhomes.

Lila, Mermaid Beach

Lila's location is second to none - just 200-metres from the raw thrill of the ocean in the Gold Coast's premier suburb. In addition to its enviable location, Lila villas offer a generous 300sqm of living space, a private pool, lift, built-in bar and butler's kitchen, making you the host with the most at your next dinner party.

BDA Architects has joined forces with Beck Space Interiors to deliver a breathtaking iteration to luxury living. Lila is elegantly appointed with bespoke Italian cabinetry, V-Zug appliances, natural stone and an instantly recognisable facade.

Jayde Pezet of Pezet Matheson says, "Villa living allows people to live in a Triple-A Grade location, at a price that still represents solid value. House prices have skyrocketed on the Gold Coast, and developers are offering villas and luxury townhouses that still offer house-sized living spaces over several levels."

"Lifestyle is the key reason people are moving, and Gold Coast offers that in abundance," says Brent Dallow, Director of Venture Property. Perfectly packaging everything enviable about the Gold Coast lifestyle is Venture Property's latest offering - Marella.

This townhouse development comes off the back of its predecessor's success at Marlowe. Marella is the epitome of luxury waterfront homes. The four-storey townhomes feature direct north-east aspects and bridge-free boating access straight out to the Broadwater and beyond - perfect for a lifestyle of unparalleled leisure.

Marella townhomes are sprawled across approximately 420sqm and offer four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two powder rooms, three living areas, a two-car garage, three outdoor entertaining areas, a private pool and a marina berth. The property also includes a one-bedroom apartment-style layout facing the pool on the ground floor.

Arcus Villas are a first for the area of Miami. The development offers only four exclusive street-facing townhouses with house-sized proportions, complete with a private pool and backyard.

Each villa comes in a four-bedroom floor plan with 2.5 bathrooms, space for three cars and plenty of living space. Luke Carter, Director of CS Collective, says, "The finishes throughout are of the highest quality whilst still maintaining usable practicality for those who chose to have them as investment properties.

"The Coastal Mediterranean palette is complemented by three-metre-high ceilings that grace both levels along with a vast amount of skylights ensuring these villas are provided with ample natural lighting throughout the entire year," says Carter. Additionally, each villa includes a feature indoor succulent garden under the staircases along with cured accents for the most luxuriously calming feeling.

Callista, Palm Beach

Callista presents an exclusive collection of only four luxury townhomes that is every bit as indulgent as you would expect of the development team and project location.

These grand townhomes come courtesy of Kingbella Group, Chapter Two, C2 Architecture and Louise Walsh Interior Design. Each townhome offers four spacious bedrooms over three levels, three bathrooms, multiple living areas and a secure double lock-up garage.

Nick Clydsdale from CBRE Residential Projects comments that Callista offers "luxurious open-plan living - you are offered spaciousness typically exclusive to a large house with the benefit of living in a low maintenance villa." The gourmet kitchen is as functional as it is spectacular, complete with a curved stone island bench, premium joinery, high-end Miele appliances.

The expansive balcony is perfect for entertaining and making the most of the perfect year-round weather. "There's also the unrivalled beachside location to consider - Callista is less than 300-metres away from the pristine sands of Palm Beach," Clydsdale adds.
