AT A GLANCE:

  • Developer: Coronation Property
  • Architect: SJB
  • Landscape Architect: 360 Degrees
  • No. of Residences: 136
  • Estimated Completion Date: Complete and move-in ready!

Tucked into the leafy heart of heritage-rich Ashbury, a new chapter in Sydney living has quietly arrived.

Ashbury Terraces is now complete and ready for residents to move in. It’s a place where architectural integrity, natural surroundings, and everyday comfort come together with a rare sense of ease, perfectly positioned next to W H Wagener Oval.

Designed by SJB Architects with landscape design by 360 Degrees, the development reflects a deep respect for the neighbourhood’s character.

“Ashbury Terraces is special because the project is nestled in an existing suburb, where you’re coming to live in a place that already has history and narrative. You’re really investing in being a part of an existing community,” said Adam Haddow, lead architect and partner at SJB.

“The post-colonial history of the site was that it was a brick pit, and it was used to dig up clay to make bricks, which is why the W H Wagner Oval exists today.

“It was straightforward, in a way, that the buildings should use bricks, they should be part of the history of crafted architecture.

“There is a sense of buzz around it, yet it feels really intimate, it feels really personal, it feels really human-scaled, and I think by getting that sense of grain and texture, people feel really connected to it and they’ll feel like it’s theirs, that there will be a real sense of ownership over it.

“As an architect, that’s what you want because if people feel like they own it, they’ll take care of it, and that’s the thing I’m most excited about.”

Terrace Homes made for real living

Ashbury Terraces’ boutique Terrace Collection is a highlight, offering three-bedroom, multi-level homes designed to support the rhythms of daily life.

Skylights draw sunshine deep into the interiors, private rooftop terraces and courtyards extend living spaces into the open air, and large courtyards offer room to entertain or simply exhale. With open-air atriums to select terraces, natural light and fresh air easily spill into the homes.

With two-car parking spaces and thoughtful spatial planning throughout, these residences feel practical and inviting, built for families, professionals, and anyone seeking room to grow.

“I went to university in Melbourne and I lived in a terrace house, and I have really fond memories of growing up and living in a terrace house,” said Adam.

“What we’ve done at Ashbury is to give people all the best things of a terrace in a contemporary way.”

SJB has elevated these terrace designs with unique ensuites, complete with dual shower and vanity configurations and mood lighting integrated into the shower ceilings and wall shelves. Travertine Scarpa tiles add textured depth to the space, while marble accents on the vanity surfaces and wall shelf provide a luxurious touch.

Catering to entertainers and home chefs, large kitchen designs feature premium Miele appliances and ample storage, with some having European-style square islands.

“I think people will be blown away by the opportunities that living in a contemporary terrace offers them,” said Adam.

Parkside Apartments with a calm, contemporary character

For those drawn to apartment living, Ashbury Terraces presents one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, including penthouses, that frame expansive parkland views.

Spacious bedrooms include ample storage, with the primary suite offering a walk-in robe and thoughtfully designed ensuite.

Warm timber floorboards, countertops paired with premium finishes, Fisher & Paykel appliances, and a large natural stone island kitchen further elevate the space.

Residents can enjoy access to The Garden Pavilion – a private sanctuary at the heart of the development with a heated pool, dining areas, quiet retreats, and a fully equipped gym.

The pool sits among tropical landscaping and cushion-lined lounges, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. While BBQ areas and outdoor dining zones create natural gathering spots.

Thoughtful, connected, and quietly elevated, Ashbury Terraces brings together the warmth of a well-established suburb with the comfort and clarity of contemporary design.

“Ashbury Terraces marks an important moment for the Inner West,” said Joe Nahas, managing director of Coronation Property.

“We’ve created something that hasn’t existed in this suburb before: contemporary, thoughtfully designed terraces and apartments that respect the heritage while evolving what Ashbury can be.

“It demonstrates how well-designed density can transform a neighbourhood without losing its character, delivering new homes, new green space, and a stronger sense of community.

“This is a benchmark project that sets the tone for Ashbury’s future and establishes a new standard for urban renewal in established Sydney suburbs.”

Terrace homes and apartments are selling and move-in ready, priced from $795,000 for a one-bedroom home with park views.
