Azure has officially marked its arrival on the Sunshine Coast with the acquisition of a prime development site in Buderim, signalling the company’s continued expansion across South East Queensland. This strategic milestone underscores Azure’s commitment to delivering thoughtfully crafted homes and easing housing pressure in high-demand regions through design-led, community-focused developments.

The planned $182 million project is expected to deliver 206 architecturally designed residences to the Sunshine Coast, offering a diverse mix of layouts and price points to support the region’s growing demand.

“At Azure, our focus has always been on delivering homes and communities people are proud to call home,” said Azure director, Trent Keirnan.

"We recognise the growing demand for quality housing across South East Queensland, and this project reflects our commitment to delivering thoughtful, well-designed homes that respond to that need."

“Our aim is to build design-led, well-connected communities that not only provide quality homes but also contribute positively to the broader community over the long term.”

Spanning more than 52,000 sqm, the new site at 67 & 77 Power Road, Buderim will offer an array of one, two, three, and four-bedroom terrace homes designed to cater to a broad range of buyers, from first homebuyers to downsizers and growing families.

“This new site will introduce much-needed housing to a market currently under significant pressure,” said Trent.

“It’s a first-class location with the potential to offer both lifestyle and convenience to future residents.”

Community driven

Designed with lifestyle in mind, the development will feature a comprehensive suite of communal amenities, including a large resort-style pool, sun lounges and cabanas, a steam room, sauna, hot and cold plunges, a gym, pickleball court, work-from-home space, recreation pavilion and a large communal lawn area.

“We’ve designed this project to encourage and foster a healthy, balanced lifestyle, all with the benefits of an Azure Community where our residents don’t need to lift a finger”, said Trent.

“It’s about giving people spaces to relax, move, connect, and feel at home – whether they’re enjoying the facilities or getting to know their neighbours.”

The project draws inspiration from an international coastal aesthetic with extensive use of timber, render and stone whilst purposefully nestling into a lush subtropical landscape vernacular, delivering a contemporary coastal village that harmonises with its natural surroundings.

Additionally, the location offers excellent proximity to key lifestyle and infrastructure amenities including Sippy Downs Town Centre, Mooloolaba Beach, Sunshine Coast University and the Sunshine Coast Hospital.

The acquisition further solidifies Azure’s strong footprint in Brisbane’s northern corridor, adding to a growing portfolio of major projects delivered and underway across the Moreton Bay Region, totalling more than 400 new residences in the area and forms a further part of the prominent developers growing 2-billion-dollar pipeline.
