The latest apartment project coming to Brunswick is 17 Union Street, with seven levels of good apartment design. The development’s apartments are exceedingly modern in design and effortlessly infused with nature, making them a blueprint for high-density living in Melbourne.
The development will contain 43 apartments, each one representing a prime opportunity to acquire a promising investment, an enviable lifestyle, or both. With one, two, and three bedroom options available, 17 Union Street will appeal to a wide range of households and investors.
17 Union Street is a collaboration between developer Neometro, design advocates BKK Architects and interior design experts Clare Cousins Architects. The project is part of the revitalised Jewell Station precinct, with rejuvenated bike paths, community gardens and public art on the doorstep.
Jeff Provan, Design Director at Neometro, explained that the three companies had come together with the purpose of creating an exemplary project where residents could truly enjoy their home and lifestyle.
“This project is built on the idea that well-designed apartments support wellbeing and connection in the community,” commented Provan.
According to BKK Architects’ Simon Knott, who was heavily involved in the conception of 17 Union Street’s architectural plans, the development’s surrounding streetscape strongly influenced its design.
“We designed 17 Union Street with a strong focus on contextual materiality drawn from the surrounding urban context,” Mr Knott said.
In crafting the apartment interiors, Clare Cousins Architects carefully considered both functionality and aesthetics. The result is a collection of apartments that offer inbuilt features and details that have been purposely selected for their beauty as well as their practicality and durability. The flexible spaces, with two colour schemes available, will allow residents to adapt their homes to their own lifestyle.
The idea of inviting the outdoor world inside is a recurring theme that can be picked up in each room of the home. In the kitchen and bathroom, colour palettes are rich with natural materials and earthy tones that are reminiscent of the outdoor world. Timber mixes with whites and greens to paint a scene of luxury with warm parkland influence. Open air corridors keep the apartments cool in summer, so they not only look nature-infused, but fresh and natural too.
On the rooftop, the theme of nature continues in the form of an edible garden. This area serves as a relaxing place to mingle with friends and neighbours far away from the busy world below.
And down below, cars will be safely parked in the basement, where residents also have access to a secure storage cage. For cyclists, the dedicated bike storage on ground level will certainly come in handy.
Living in the most vibrant part of Brunswick, residents will be perfectly positioned to take advantage of sprawling parklands, Carlton, Parkville and the CBD, whilst also enjoying the city’s best cafés, bars, galleries and unparalleled connectivity to public transport. 17 Union Street will undoubtedly become one of the best-connected addresses in Melbourne.
Completion of the build is expected for mid-2020 and the display suite is now open.
One bedroom apartments start from $435,000, two bedrooms from $570,000 and three bedrooms from $1,195,000.
