Down on the shores of the Georges River and under the heritage sawtooth roof of the beautifully restored paper mill building, Coronation Property has launched Western Sydney’s newest food precinct — The Paper Mill Food.

Located at Coronation Property’s 882-apartment urban renewal project, the food complex elegantly and brilliantly reflects the cultural diversity of Sydney’s vibrant west, with four distinct restaurants, an events area, and a children's play zone.

Adding to The Gild and The Bindery, which are currently in their settlement period, Joseph Nahas, Coronation Property’s Managing Director, says the revitalisation of the heritage paper mill building into a buzzing restaurant and retail quarter was a key objective of the masterplan.

“We’ve used the best food specialists in the business to create The Paper Mill Food, and this unique destination will anchor the entire precinct, enticing families from across Western Sydney who are looking for a top-quality food experience delivered in a welcoming and down-to-earth environment,” he confirmed.

Inside the respectfully transformed building, Firepit specialises in wood-fire cooked meat and seafood, while Charcoal Joe’s brings Lebanese charcoal chicken to the mix. George’s pizzeria and bar settles all your Italian food cravings, and for dessert look no further than Shepard’s lane.

While the parents wine and dine, the children can enjoy Paper Mill Kids, that comes complete with bench seating and a playground. The development also includes an exclusive events space, Paper Mill Events — perfect for weddings, christenings, anniversaries, and other special occasions.

“We wanted to create a space that feels like home and which encourages a new brand of family-friendly eating, because for many families, the kitchen is the heart of the home,” Mr Nahas added.

“The people of the west have been crying out for a venue such as this for a long time, and we’re very proud to be delivering it for them.”

Hospitality interior architects DS17, the firm behind Alpha, Lotus Restaurant, and Bel & Brio, have honoured the industrial history of the mill with contemporary updates in steel, glass, and stone.

Bespoke timber joinery, Carrara marble and custom cast-iron sculpting resembling 19th-century ovens combine with a hand-made mosaic tile floor to create a stunning light-filled interior.

The Paper Mill Food is also in keeping with Coronation Property’s firmly held views and vision to provide affordable world-class design and luxury.

“As a company, Coronation Property is firmly committed to delivering a first-class lifestyle that benefits the whole community, both at The Paper Mill and across greater Sydney.

“From the very start, our vision for The Paper Mill was to use the best architects and interior and landscape designers to create a master-planned precinct offering outstanding design and amenity, but at a price everyday people can afford.”

The Paper Mill’s fourth stage, The Foundry, is due for completion by the end of 2020, adding to Coronation Property’s expansive portfolio of mixed-use and lifestyle projects in Merrylands, Moorebank, Harris Park, and Parramatta.

“This shows that Coronation Property is much more than a company that delivers just residential apartments – we’re also a developer creating genuine mixed-use communities.”
