East Brunswick's Lt. Miller will be one of the most sustainable residential developments in Victoria with a 7.5 star average NatHERS rating. From the abundant green spaces to the 100% fossil fuel-free building operations, Lt. Miller is a benchmark for environmentally conscious design.

Set amongst the rich culture of East Brunswick, Lt. Miller apartments celebrate nature, exude character and allow you to truly indulge in the comforts of modern living.

Lt. Miller is a collaboration between ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects, interior design masterminds Breathe Architecture and landscaping visionaries Openworks.

article-imageLt. Miller is a community designed collection of one, two and three bedroom homes modelled around personal and natural environments with sustainability at the very heart and soul of the project.

“Lt. Miller is a new archetype for tomorrow’s urban environment,” said Jeremy McLeod from Breathe Architecture, “a collection of homes built to support well being, community and livability.”

Breathe Architecture designed the interiors to highlight the beauty found in natural materials. From the moment you enter the home, this becomes apparent. You will be welcomed by a natural coir entry mat made from 100% renewable coconut fibres and, as you move into the open plan living space, you will walk across recycled Australian hardwood timber floorboards where the amalgamation of hues gives the room warmth and character.

Overhead, the concrete soffits brings a raw, industrial element to the apartment – very in tune with the neighbourhood. Full-length glazing expands the space dramatically and offers view out over the beautiful Melbourne  and inner-suburban skyline. To better appreciate the sights, step out onto your large, nature-filled balcony (which, at the higher levels of the building, features a pergola).

Moving into the bedroom, you will feel the comfort of carpets made from 100% natural New Zealand wool or Heavy Castlemain Sisal, a 100% natural renewable resource made from cactus fibre. The attention to detail exemplifies how, throughout the residence, each fixture and fitting is not just sourced sustainably but selected for quality, beauty and durability.

Its marbled aesthetic marries up neatly with soft timber hues that dominate the sleek kitchen area. Spaciousness is a luxury you will enjoy time and time again in this kitchen, whether you are cooking up a storm or simply having tea and toast.

Step into the bathroom to soak up the charm of brick floor tiles, timber veneer joinery, brass tapware and matte, white wall tiles. Every bathroom should be a serene space and, thanks to careful design and material selection, Lt. Miller’s bathroom is just that.

article-imageAbove and beyond your four walls lies an expansive rooftop garden with an immersive and wild landscape that serves as your private sanctuary in the sky. Designed by Openwork, the garden is made up of open spaces and smaller nooks, featuring a communal dining area and an intimate ‘gin and tonic room’ for two that is surrounded by edible plants to complement classic cocktails.

Situated in Brunswick East, you will be living in the heart of a culturally rich and diverse area with a strong sense of community. The suburb is home to an eclectic range of bistros run by hatted chefs, Italian dining halls dating back to the 1970s, artisan chocolatiers, organic providores and tequila bars that make up the colourful fabric of the neighbourhood. Espressos and cocktails are taken seriously here so you can expect only the very best when stopping by for a drink along Lygon or Nicholson Streets.

The route 96 tram at your doorstep will transport your to the city in 10 minutes and take you directly to St Kilda Beach.
