CADRE, the renowned development arm of the Tyas family, has commenced construction on the exclusive LUSSO by CADRE compound nestled in the prestigious Paterson Street of Byron Bay.
The group has awarded the commercial construction contract to Tycorp Construction, which sits within the Tyas family office, marking the beginning of an exciting phase in luxury residential development in the Norther Rivers.
The development is designed by Davis Architecture, a well-known local practice which has received awards for its reimagination of luxury homes throughout NSW. It boasts a quintessential Palm Springs aesthetic, characterised by sleek architectural concrete lines, locally-sourced sand stone, polished white floors, plus natural stones and timbers throughout.
Each of the six residences will feature with mineral pools and luxury tropical gardens meticulously crafted by Luke Jones of the award-winning local landscape architecture firm, LARC, renowned for their recent work on the Marvel Hotel in Byron Bay.
CADRE's commitment to timeless design and sustainable development is evident in this project. The company has embraced modern design and construction practices aimed at minimising environmental impact, incorporating passive house principles throughout the development process like solar power, battery provisions, heat pumps, and cross flow ventilation and other ESD initiatives to reduce lifecycle costs.
"LUSSO by CADRE represents our unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional residences that harmonise with their surroundings and elevate the standard of luxury living in Byron Bay," said CADRE director Christopher Tyas.
"We believe we’re delivering something not yet seen in the area, setting a timeless high-end residential standard, tying in intentional design and high-quality commercial construction.
"We're thrilled to partner with Tycorp Construction, a company that shares our commitment to quality and innovation.
"We searched for local contractors but found it exceptionally hard to obtain a principal contractor that sees our vision, quality and values set as a group.
"It excites us to have our brother James building our second project in the Northern Rivers,” he said.
The decision to entrust Tycorp Construction with the realisation of this vision stemmed from CADRE's rigorous standards and uncompromising dedication to quality. Despite exploring local builders, CADRE found it challenging to identify a head contractor capable of executing their ambitious vision for the site.
Given the complexity of the project, it was imperative to assemble a team known for their trustworthiness and ability to deliver exceptional quality that would endure Byron Bay's rugged coastal elements.
"We are excited to collaborate with CADRE on this prestigious project," said James Tyas, director of Tycorp Construction.
"Our team is committed to bringing their vision to life, ensuring that these luxury residences exceed expectations and become a hallmark of excellence in Byron Bay's real estate landscape.
“We are enjoying working with some truly talented and passionate trades in a whole new environment in Australia.
"With a strong pipeline of upcoming work in commercial, residential and industrial we are looking forwarding to forging new relationships, delivering the projects with passion and having some fun along the way,” he said.
