Location, location, location – one of the most important factors when buying property. But what else is on the checklist? We talked to two of Australia’s leading property developers to see how they have built on sought-after addresses to create urban oases. Read on for what they have to say.
It’s no secret that location is arguably one of the most important factors when purchasing property. You can renovate or remodel your home all you want, but you can’t change its location.
Developers Mirvac and Goldfields recognise the importance of a good location, especially at a time when Australians are migrating back to cities after the regional population growth of 2020. This is evident in their projects Trielle by Mirvac, located in Melbourne’s award-winning Yarra’s Edge precinct, and The Bryson by Goldfields, situated in the heart of the Chatswood CBD – both boasting coveted inner-city addresses.
What makes these inner-city developments that much more special is the lifestyle fostered within their walls. Mirvac and Goldfields have built on their respective projects’ locations and created resort-style oases.
“Residents living in urban environments today demand more from their homes,” said Rohan Ames, marketing director at Goldfields.
“They want shared spaces that help them achieve their aspirations in health and wellness, as well as extending their leisure spaces to spend time with friends and family.

“Pride in the home is not just about a beautifully appointed apartment, it’s also about having pride in how the building itself presents, whether that be the landscaping, lobby entrance, hallways or things such as swimming pools, residential lounges, and workspaces.”
Rohan’s comments are reflected in Goldfields’ Chatswood project, The Bryson – a collection of luxurious two and three-bedroom apartments elevated by stunning resident amenities, located approximately 12km from the Sydney CBD.
“At The Bryson, we’ve designed amenity spaces that are flexible and relevant to contemporary lifestyles,” Rohan explained.
“Our shared spaces can accommodate those in a quiet and contemplative mood, whilst also having separate areas where mingling can be more convivial.”
Cultivating the atmosphere of an urban resort, The Bryson boasts a resort-style swimming pool, spacious internal residents lounge that can be used as a WFH space, extensively landscaped terrace, dining and fire pit lounge, and more.
“We see these areas as ‘retreats in the sky’ and a desirable antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life taking place below.”

Award-winning property developer Mirvac can echo these sentiments with its riverfront apartment development, Trielle – the crowning jewel of Melbourne’s Yarra’s Edge.
“Urban environments have so much to offer in terms of convenience, social interaction, and cultural activities,” said Mirvac Design Director Michael Wiener.

“However, an urban environment doesn't always offer a connection to nature, which is proven to be a powerful and regenerative influence on our lives and we’re able to facilitate this with The Oasis at Trielle.
“Whether it’s the urban rainforest, the Scandinavian-inspired wellness club, the 25-metre lap pool, or the hot outdoor magnesium pool, there are plenty of opportunities for residents to immerse themselves in nature, as well as keep physically fit, mentally well and emotionally balanced.”

Including these extensive resort-style amenities in their projects, Mirvac and Goldfields have seen immense interest from discerning buyers looking to be part of these inner-city oases.
“The luxury of convenience has been an enormous drawcard at Trielle,” revealed Michael.
“Whether residents want to relax, play, unwind, or entertain, Trielle offers multiple highly considered spaces designed and reserved for their enjoyment.”
Rohan found that buyer interest was also high for The Bryson, saying, “This approach has struck a chord with buyers who love the connected location of Chatswood and its thriving retail and dining scene, but also are attracted to the idea of being able to retreat into a calm and soothing environment.”

Demolition has commenced on site for The Bryson in mid-September, with the project’s appointed builder to be announced soon. Two and three-bedroom residences are now selling.
Trielle by Mirvac is anticipated to be completed in 2026, with the project’s one, two, three, and four-bedroom residences now selling from $680,000.
