Brisbane’s surging commercial and industrial sector has entered a new phase with Frank Developments launch of Brisbane Marina, a 30,000m² riverfront precinct set to redefine how the city works on the water.

Positioned on prime Brisbane River frontage, the project delivers a pioneering blend of industry, lifestyle and marine technology, marking a significant evolution in the city’s next generation of waterfront precincts.

The waterfront precinct features 67 design-led workstores and over 70+ private berths, supported by an EV marine hub, on-site fuel, and 24/7 shipmaster services – all just 15 minutes from the Port of Brisbane and CBD.

Designed in collaboration with BYculprit, the architecture reinterprets the classic boatshed into a luxury industrial aesthetic – featuring bronzed translucent panels, natural timber, and sawtooth rooflines inspired by the geometry of sails.

Landscaped edges and riverfront boardwalks blur the line between work and waterfront living, creating what managing director Frank Licastro calls “a working village on the water.”

“Our approach is about designing for how Brisbane is evolving," Frank said.

“The city’s waterfronts are no longer just industrial edges, they’re becoming active, adaptive precincts where work, recreation, and technology coexist.”

The development will generate approximately 250 jobs and will create increased accessibility for marine vehicles travelling through the Brisbane River.

With Brisbane’s population growing faster than any other Australian city, Brisbane Marina arrives at the perfect moment.

It marks a bold new chapter in the city’s evolution ahead of the 2032 Olympic Games.
