Innovative developers Frank Developments has recently unveiled plans for a sustainably responsive apartment development in the Brisbane riverside suburb of Teneriffe.

Named Ducale, the proposed development will be delivered by Frank in partnership with Epoca Property Group and architecturally designed by leading architecture studio BYculprit.

Designed with the future in mind, Ducale boasts a range of sustainable and future-focused design components. Electric vehicle and bicycle charging stations, a drone landing pad on the rooftop, as well as double-storey apartments are just some of these features.

“We’re always looking to future-proof our developments and understand how sustainability, technology, and lifestyle will influence the way we live in years to come,” said Frank Licastro, Managing Director of Frank Developments.

“At Ducale, we are providing rooftop solar panels, three communal vehicle charging stations, and five electric bicycle and scooter charging stations to ensure the building is responsive to a sustainable future,” Mr Licastro said.

To cater to a premium lifestyle, Ducale will boast a collection of rooftop amenities complete with sweeping views of the Brisbane River, the city skyline, and Teneriffe Hill. This collection includes a swimming pool, poolside cabanas, gymnasium, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and barbecue facilities.

Additionally, as a future-focused aspect, Ducale will have a drone landing pad.

“At Ducale, we’ve provided a future operable drone landing pad on the rooftop, separate to the pool and amenities, should residents wish to utilise this in the future,” said Mr Licastro. “Drone delivery technology is rapidly advancing, and trials are underway in Brisbane, Canberra, and elsewhere around the world.”

“Another trend we experienced firsthand with our Maison development in New Farm is the unmet demand for large, family-sized apartments in inner-city suburbs, and Teneriffe is in particularly low supply,” explains Mr Licastro.

Originally offering 37 residences, Ducale’s design has now been amended to offer 26 larger sized apartments to meet this demand.

“We have reduced the number of apartments in the building and have created five double-storey, family-sized apartments with three bedrooms, two living areas, and two outdoor entertaining areas.”

Also on offer are a selection of two bedroom plus study apartments as well as two bedroom plus multi-purpose room residences. An exclusive selection of three ground-floor apartments are also available, featuring two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a private plunge pool each.

The penthouse and sub-penthouse collection feature four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and spacious living and dining areas complete with expansive views of the river and Brisbane city.

Positioned on 33 Wyandra Street, Ducale sits just minutes from the Brisbane River. In addition to its proximity to the water, Brisbane's art and architectural heritage have inspired this design. An organic colour palette complete with cascading gardens and verdant landscaping captures an air of tranquillity and retreat while maintaining warmth and a sense of home. The result is a timeless piece of architecture shaped by refined patterns, layers, soft edges, and elegant elements.
