Geocon has announced the acquisition of the Alpha Hotel & Apartments in Greenway, ACT, set to be added to the Iconic Hotels by Geocon portfolio, with a new management structure in October 2025.
Located at 46 Rowland Rees Crescent, the four-star Alpha Hotel offers 100 rooms, including studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, a restaurant and conference facilities, and on-site parking. Its prime location places guests within easy reach of South Point Tuggeranong and the Canberra Southern Cross Club, positioning it as a convenient base for both business and leisure travellers.
The property will be rebranded as Abode Tuggeranong and operated under the Abode Hotels banner, with stays available from mid-October 2025. Abode Hotels is known for providing modern accommodation designed for comfort and convenience, with a focus on flexible stays for corporate, family, and leisure guests.
“The new Abode Tuggeranong’s location, size, and facilities make it a perfect fit for our growing portfolio,” said Damon Smith, Geocon CEO.
“We’re excited to bring the Abode experience back to Tuggeranong, enhancing what is already a strong destination for visitors.
“Our goal is to provide exceptional stays that showcase the very best of the region.
“We look forward to welcoming guests and building lasting connections here in Greenway."
