Construction has commenced on the exclusive development by project partners Tim Gordon and Bruce Mathieson, with early works underway at Elle on Jefferson in Palm Beach.

The 11-storey building, designed by acclaimed architecture studio Cottee Parker, will deliver just 58 residences and is being released to the market in stages as the building rises just metres from the beachfront and the neighbouring Pavilions Palm Beach retail precinct.

It follows the development duo’s success at The Spit, where their $400 million ultra-luxe The Mantaray Marina & Residences, celebrating its topping out in August.

Gordon Corp director Tim Gordon said the local Palm Beach market was ‘very in tune’ with the opportunity.

“Jefferson Lane is a prized location because of its proximity to the beachfront, dining and retail,” Tim said.

“What we’re delivering with Elle on Jefferson is a complete lifestyle offering, combining one of the Coast’s most tightly held addresses with the confidence that construction is already underway.

“That certainty is what gives buyers assurance, and it’s why demand has been so strong.

“Luxury isn’t just about location, it’s in the detail. We’ve partnered with Cottee Parker to deliver a design outcome that prioritises wellness and liveability, ensuring Elle reflects the elevated approach our buyers expect.

“With works now progressing, we’re targeting completion by mid-2027.”

Bruce Mathieson Jnr. said the growing waitlist for the first release of apartments was a strong endorsement of the project’s exceptional location, design and early commencement of construction.

“Our family’s partnership with Tim Gordon has always been about backing A-grade projects on the Gold Coast,” Bruce said.

“Elle brings confidence to the market by combining quality design with the certainty of delivery that comes with an expert construction team. It’s exactly the kind of project the city needs as it grows, and we’re proud to support it.”

Elle has 58 residences, making each residence exclusive and spacious.

Gordon Corp sales and marketing director, Lara Dimond, said the strong level of enquiries were dominated by local owner-occupiers.

“Buyers have been telling us they want apartments that feel like real homes, not generic offerings,” Lara said.

“That’s why we’ve refined every detail with our interiors team, led by Sue Hiscox, to offer spacious master suites, generous robes and ensuites, and kitchens and living areas that maximise the ocean views.

“This approach extends through the two and three-bedroom floor plans and into the resident amenities, which include a 15-metre lap pool, sauna and steam rooms, hot and cold plunge pools, and a high-end gymnasium.

“The architecture has been carefully considered to deliver both privacy and a sense of retreat, within a vibrant coastal precinct. It has been curated for those ready to downsize without compromise.”

Tim said Elle on Jefferson is being delivered by the group’s own construction arm, Gordon Corp Construction, drawing on trusted partnerships that have been in place for more than 30 years.

“Gordon Corp Construction is built on decades of trusted relationships,” he said.

“We’ve combined our development expertise with an exceptional network of long-term partners, ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality and integrity.”

Recent data shows that Gold Coast is now the most expensive place in southeast Queensland to build high-rise developments, largely due to increasing construction prices driven by labour shortages and the cost of building materials.

Two-bedroom apartments at Elle on Jefferson are priced from $1.75 million. Three-bedroom residences start from $3.1 million.
