Cedar Woods Properties is fast tracking housing supply in Brisbane’s leafy inner north, with the first residents of its latest masterplanned community, Greville at Wooloowin, settling into their new townhomes.

The milestone comes as construction on the sold out second release surges beyond the halfway point. Located 5kms north of the Brisbane CBD, the 3.5-hectare historical site will evolve over the next five years to deliver 84 townhomes, more than 200 apartments across three buildings, and an exclusive collection of unique heritage homes.

The development also features a large 4,000sqm public park, alongside private resident amenities. Cedar Woods Development Director Blair Britton said construction was advancing across multiple stages of the master plan at Greville after the first two releases sold out shortly after their respective launches.

“The construction of the first collection of 12 townhomes was completed within 12 months of launch and settlements are now completed. Our second release of 25 townhomes is also sold out, with construction by Greyburn Building Contractors now beyond the halfway point,” Mr Britton said.

“To be able to deliver each stage in swift succession is an incredible achievement in this market, and is instilling confidence in our buyers.”

Greville has easy access to bus, rail and bicycle networks and enjoys leading retail and dining precincts on its doorstep.

Mr Britton said Cedar Woods had commenced the launch of the third collection, comprising 20 three-bedroom townhomes, located at the southern precinct of the site, with construction anticipated to commence early next year.

“Three-bedroom townhomes offer great value in this market compared to detached dwellings,” he said.

Greville homes are modern and sleek

“With our premium third release priced from $1.325 million, this is significant value compared to the suburb’s median house price of $1.57M, which has increased 26.5% in the past 12 months, according to realestate.com.au.

Greville’s townhomes and apartments, designed by leading architecture studio Rothelowman, combine Wooloowin’s signature charm with modern finishes, complemented by the retention of the historic Holy Cross laundry building from the 1800s, which will be converted into heritage homes in a later release.

“More than 80% of buyers are locals who not only understand the historical significance of this site, but appreciate the lifestyle we have curated at Greville,” Mr Britton said.

Residents have access to a variety of community amenities including a playground

“Community amenities are already available to our founding residents, including a recreation area with a pool, BBQs and alfresco dining, and the 4,000sqm community Greville Park, which opened last year.

“Greville is connected in every sense of the word. There is no other community with this level accessibility to Kedron Brook, the Northern Bikeway and Busway, and local retail and dining precincts.”
