Every now and then, a development comes along that sets a new benchmark in apartment living.
It’s certainly no easy feat, and it takes a developer keen to think outside the square.
One such example is a new development in the heart of Parramatta called ‘West Village’, which takes the concept of apartment living and transforms it into a vertical community buyers are lining up to be a part of.
The new addition to Parramatta’s skyline spans 40 floors, but it’s the little touches that make this project so unique.
Designed by internationally renowned architect Woods Bagot, the structural glass façade is interspersed with pockets of lush greenery.
Meanwhile buzz is already building for what will be a dining and shopping destination on the ground floor.
Plans are in the works to fill the space with a variety of world-class restaurants, such as the Malaysian favourite ‘Chinta Ria’ and gourmet Italian providore ‘Salt Meats Cheese.
There will also be cafes and shops, along with plenty of greenery, to create an urban oasis.
On the seventh floor, landscape designer Myles Baldwin has conceptualised a ‘podium garden’ with views looking out over the CBD.
It comes complete with a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, alfresco dining options, leafy terraces and barbeque areas with private screenings.
Travel a few more floors up to the rooftop and you’ll find a New York inspired communal observation deck overlooking the Blue Mountains and Sydney skyline, along with a chef’s kitchen, function room, virtual golf simulator, and rooftop gardens.
As for the apartments themselves, buyers can pick from luxurious one, two or three bedroom apartments, with many containing private balconies.
A number of dwellings look out over Sydney’s iconic CBD, and it comes as little surprise they will contain only the most beautiful and top-quality touches, such as wool-blend carpets, stainless steel joinery, bespoke timber veneer tables, engineered timber floorboards and stone benchtops.
There is also the choice of two different interior schemes, either ‘River’ or ‘Urban’, allowing buyers to personalise their space.
As for the location itself, Parramatta is the second largest economic hub in New South Wales behind Sydney.
It has a plethora of restaurants, schools, health facilities and entertainment precincts; there really aren’t many reasons to leave.
And now with this exciting new development taking shape, Parramatta will further cement itself as Western Sydney’s hub.
