Global property and infrastructure group, Lendlease, has announced the launch of its new deluxe waterfront residential project, Ancora at Collins Wharf. Positioned at 971 Collins Street, Docklands, Ancora follows the success of Lendlease’s neighbouring development, Regatta at Collins Wharf, which since its 2023 launch has sold over 80% of its units.
Ancora at Collins Wharf is currently accepting expressions of interest to meet rising demand from home seekers wanting to take advantage of city and waterfront living. The 28-storey luxury residential tower, designed by architects Warren and Mahoney, will feature 303 residences with uninterrupted vistas of either Victoria Harbour towards the city or the Yarra River across to Port Phillip Bay.
The development comprises 276 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments - referred to as the 'Waterfront Collection'. These come with premium fixtures and fittings, modern interiors, and efficient floor plans that enhance natural light. Soon to be available will also be an exclusive 'Premier Collection' of 27 residences across varied townhouses, penthouses, and larger-scale apartments.
“Following the success of Regatta at Collins Wharf with over 80% now sold, we have brought forward the release of Ancora in response to the demand from buyers seeking a quality home within this desirable waterfront neighbourhood, on the edge of the CBD,” said Daniel Dugina, Executive Director of Development Lendlease.
Ancora residents can expect luxury amenities including a hotel-style lobby with concierge service, a private dining room for entertaining, and lush, landscaped rooftop terraces at level 4 and level 16. The development is designed with ease of access in mind. A podium will connect Ancora to the neighbouring Regatta, unlocking a host of wellness facilities that include an indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, steam room, gym. and multi-purpose rooms.
Furthermore, Ancora is to be constructed as an all-electric building, incorporating electric vehicle infrastructure while targeting 5 Star Green Star certification.
Lendlease is also committed to enhancing the Collins Wharf precinct by delivering over 5,000 sqm of new parkland around Ancora. This new green space will incorporate Indigenous plants and include workout and fitness stations, covered seating areas, play zones, and open lawns. The landscape design by Openwork draws inspiration from First Nations cultures.
“Ancora at Collins Wharf is the next stage of our ongoing commitment to deliver more housing in prime locations in Melbourne, with the precinct stretching the city’s famed Collins Street further westwards to engage with the water, connecting its maritime past with the contemporary vibrancy of the city," said Daniel.
Benefitting from a short walk to Melbourne's CBD and the exceptional transport options available, residents will have unparalleled access to Melbourne city’s notable hospitality, sports, arts, and entertainment scenes.
Commencement of Ancora’s construction is anticipated later this year, with expectations for completion by 2027.
