Construction is continuing to gain momentum at Murcia Residences, the Mediterranean-inspired apartment development taking shape in Woolloongabba’s East Brisbane pocket.
The milestone follows strong demand earlier in the campaign, with all one- and two-bedroom apartments now sold out and the latest release of three-bedroom residences having attracted strong buyer interest – results that speaks to the project’s design-led approach and sought-after location just 1.5 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD.
The latest construction update from developer Sarazin shows strong progress across the site as the tower begins to rise above the streetscape.

Construction milestone reached as tower rises to level 9
Developer Sarazin recently shared an update from site, highlighting the rapid progress being made on the structure delivered by Hutchinson Builders (Hutchies), Australia’s largest privately owned builder, bringing more than a century of construction experience to the project.
“It’s been an incredibly busy period on site since our last update, with the tower now well and truly rising up towards the sky,” said Adam Rainbird from Sarazin.
Structural works have advanced quickly, with the tower now completed up to Level 9, while construction teams prepare the next stages.
“The formwork team is currently prepping level 10 for the next pour, and the jump form has recently jumped once again, sitting now at level 13,” he said.
“Inside the tower, works are progressing well with internal apartment framing, services, and sanitary rough-in now underway on Levels 3 and 4.”
Beyond the structural works, Murcia’s architectural details are also beginning to emerge.
“The building’s signature façade is also starting to come to life, with glazing, painting, and our signature breezeblock façade elements now being installed up the building, closely following the structural works,” Adam said.
“Down at the ground level, our feature curved entry arches have now been installed, creating a commanding presence and setting the tone for the grand arrival experience residents will enjoy.”
Designed for those seeking space in the inner city
With all one- and two-bedroom apartments already sold, the remaining three-bedroom residences are attracting interest from buyers seeking more generous inner-city living.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the homes feature open-plan layouts, large balconies, and adaptable spaces that can evolve as needs change, from working from home to hosting guests or accommodating growing families.
The project will also feature an expansive rooftop retreat with an infinity pool overlooking the city, private dining spaces, cabanas, and wellness facilities such as magnesium plunge pools, a sauna, and steam room, complete with an edible garden of olive trees, citrus, and rosemary, creating a relaxed outdoor setting that reflects the project’s Mediterranean inspiration.

Living in one of Brisbane’s most connected inner suburbs
On the ground and lower levels, everyday convenience is also part of the design. A residents’ gym and bike repair workshop support active lifestyles, while new cafés at street level offer an easy stop for coffee or weekend brunch.
Beyond the building, Murcia places residents within one of Brisbane’s most connected inner-city neighbourhoods. Woolloongabba’s dining scene, green spaces, and entertainment venues sit close by, including the state-of-the-art 17,000-seat Brisbane Arena precinct, designed to host concerts, sporting events, and major entertainment. The Cross River Rail is just 500 metres away, further strengthening connectivity to the CBD, the 2032 Olympic Park precinct, and wider city.

On track for completion in 2027
With construction continuing to move quickly, the development team has its sights set on the next major milestone.
“The Hutchies team continues to power ahead on site, with the goal of topping out the tower at Level 30 later this year,” said Adam.
“It really is exciting seeing this benchmark project come to life, and we look forward to welcoming residents next year in 2027.”
For buyers seeking a larger apartment within a connected inner-city neighbourhood, Murcia’s remaining three-bedroom residences present a timely opportunity in a project already proving popular with the market.

The three-bedroom residences are priced from $2.045 million, with two bathrooms, a multi-purpose room, and one car parking space.
