A green haven

With 42% of the total site area devoted to green open spaces, including four hectares of parkland and conservation areas, Highett Common seamlessly prioritises residents’ health and design eco-friendliness.

Resort-level amenities further cater to the needs and lifestyles of owner-occupiers and downsizers, including indoor and outdoor pools, state-of-the-art gyms, yoga spaces, and wellness areas.

The project’s sustainability efforts are truly robust, targeting Net Zero with various sustainability inclusions. Spiro elaborates, “Solar panels will be incorporated in each of the precinct’s buildings to meet the project’s net-zero targets, meaning each residence will be able to access green electricity.

“This will also extend to public and private amenity, with plans for lighting in the communal areas and new public library to have the ability to generate solar power.

“We will also use thermally insulated windows and door systems throughout the project, which have been specifically developed for their size and scale.

“This will improve the energy efficiency of windows and doors, especially in areas with differing external and internal temperatures.

“This reduces the need for residents to heavily rely on heating or cooling, thereby reducing electricity consumption in the homes and communal spaces.”

A vibrant community address

Regarding location, Highett Common boasts significant advantages, including its proximity to the beach, the dining and entertainment options along Highett Road, and a nearby train station. These conveniences encourage a sense of community, especially with the future site of the Highett library located within the development. This facility emphasises a commitment to community and education, enriching the living experience for both residents and the wider Highett neighbourhood.
