Carnegie’s vibrant town centre gets more impressive by the day, with Koornang Road’s vibe firmly set to positive. So, it makes perfect sense that new apartment project William is taking up a prime nearby spot.

The latest development project from Lucent Capital, William (what a seriously cool name for a building) is a boutique collection of residences that tap right into the neighbourhood. It’s also confidently aimed at owner-occupiers rather than investors.

Architects Clarke Hopkins Clarke (CHC) know a thing or two about carefully crafting a contemporary home. An award winning practice with over 55 years in the industry, their expertise is evident in every detail. In particular, ensuring the building offers a true sense of place and connection with its location on Mimosa Road.

Says Partner Architect, Toby Lauchlan, “William was designed with Carnegie in mind. Timber textures, brick, render and glass, along with landscaped gardens, gives the facade a soft yet modern feel that fits in seamlessly with the Mimosa streetscape.”

It’s no surprise the interiors also reflect CHC’s well-honed experience, with spacious open plan living areas that offer a sophisticated canvas that’s perfect the moment you move in. There’s true elegance on display here, with spaces designed to be welcoming.

William’s balconies and terraces are no token gesture. Genuine outdoor living is on the cards, with plenty of space for dining and entertaining that fluidly extends out from your living area.

We think the kitchens at William have urban chic written all over them, thanks to a clever combination of materials and colours. The herringbone tiled splashback, wood wall paneling and contrasting light and dark cabinetry all play their part.

There are built-in appliances from Miele, and the combination of closed and open storage means you can store away the functional gadgets and display the things you love. The real entertainers kitchen, you might think. You’d be right. Picture your next party around that island bench, complete with feature pendant lighting.

Bathrooms again combine some of those luxurious materials and textures, helping tie the whole home together. There’s more timber paneling, herringbone tiling all finished off with dark tapware. A large walk-in shower AND a bath? That’s right, luxury is turned up a notch in some of these homes. As we like to see, these are calming spaces that offer a soothing transition from work to home and back again.

Back to the location itself and Carnegie has its coffee and cuisine game on. You’d be hard pressed not to love it, from delicious eats at Mrs Kim’s Grill or Shyuh Japanese to all manner of special coffee roasts at Left Field, Platform 3 and more.

Lucent Captial deliberately selected the location to be just moments from all the action but far enough to avoid the noise. This means everything’s just a short hop away, including train and tram connections for a quick commute, vibrant shopping and a selection of schools.

If you’re looking for a beautifully designed and appointed modern home in this eclectic and engaging neighbourhood, we apologise for the pun but frankly, William truly fits the bill.
