Spyre Group has recently submitted a development application to construct a ten storey residential apartment building. Located at 570-576 Coronation Drive, Toowong, the proposed development’s facade features a rippling effect that mimics the wind.
The $90 million development is designed by Bureau Proberts. All 29 apartments in the building will face the riverfront, with an open area at the ground level podium.
This ground level area will feature landscaped gardens with diverse and abundant greenery as well as public views towards the river. The development application also includes plans for communal spaces on the rooftop featuring rooftop barbecues and a pool for residents’ use.
The development will offer 29 three-bedroom apartments, a total of 68 car parking spaces and 35 bike parking spots. The inclusion of natural ventilation and generous gardens will work to enhance the building’s sustainability.
The proposal also indicates plans for two luxury penthouses, both of which will include a private rooftop terrace. With sweeping views of the Brisbane River, each and every apartment in this considered development will provide residents with an unparalleled connection to the beautiful city they live in.
To make way for this ten-storey development, a smaller three-storey apartment building and a three-storey house will need to be demolished. Construction at 570-576 Coronation Drive is anticipated to begin in mid-2022.
With another large scale development application being placed at 600 Coronation Drive by Consolidated Properties, it’s clear that the Toowong riverfront is set to see some beautiful architecture in the years to come.
