Lenland's new development Teneo in Alexandria was built upon the idea that ‘home’ is not what you own, but what you surround yourself with — people.

The developer joined forces with photographer Billy Plummer and the team set out to capture the hopes and dreams of Alexandria’s vibrant community. The photographs are featured at Teneo’s immersive display suite in an exhibition titled ‘Dreams of Alexandria’ — alongside large-scale CGI renders of the apartment interiors and time-lapse footage of the views from the project's landscaped rooftop garden.

As a follow-up to ‘Dreams of Alexandria’, Lenland has enlisted the help of Billy Plummer once more to capture the diversity of the local community. The stunning photography is being composed into a book, with all profits to be donated to ACON.

“My dream was to purchase property in a suburb where I know I want to live — where I can be accepted and where I can be happy,” says Scott Bouquet.

Scott recently achieved his dream — he bought an apartment at Teneo and contrary to what his friends had told him, the process was easy. “I haven’t had to worry about anything,” he says. “It’s all been taken care of for me. I’ve got the beautiful interior design done by award-winning architects, all of my appliances are in there — all I have to do is move in.”

Each of the sixty-one apartments within Teneo has been meticulously designed to maximise ceiling height, floor space, and light. The open plan kitchen and seamlessly connected indoor and outdoor areas make these homes perfect for those who love to host friends and family or cook up Sunday roasts.

The bathroom is luxuriously fitted with porcelain tiles, recessed lighting and designer tapware, and the bedroom — featuring lush soft wool carpet — is a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

These are the features that attracted Scott to the project in the first place, but what sealed the deal was the location. “In Alexandria, there’s so much to do,” he says. “All I have to do is walk out the front door.”

Alexandria was, at one time, one of the busiest industrial centres in Australia, giving rise to a host of late Victorian homes and early-twentieth-century warehouses. In the last decade, these warehouses have been repurposed into houses, terraces and apartments. Now, it’s a thriving community made up of a diverse mix of people — from students to city professionals and young families to downsizers, everyone wants to live in Alexandria.

Even though the area has experienced gentrification, there are still plenty of leafy streets and beautifully landscaped reserves to sustain a connection with nature. Nearby, the Randwick Racecourse, Centennial Parklands, and Sydney Park contain playgrounds, off-leash zones for pet-owners, and picnic areas perfect for weekend barbecues.

Minutes from the doorstep, Botany Road is home to a variety of retail and hospitality outlets, while three blocks away on Dunning Avenue, a mini café and restaurant strip provides a great excuse to get takeaway.

Residents can take advantage of the bike path that connects to the city and beyond, or access the fast train connections from Green Square railway station just fifteen minutes away by foot.

To help everyone achieve their property dreams, Lenland is giving away $20,000 each to the next ten apartment buyers*. The money will be provided once the buyer exchanges contracts — enquire today to find out more about Teneo apartments.
