A twin 80-storey skyscraper development comprising 592 residential apartments and a hotel has recently been approved by the Sydney Planning Committee. The Pitt Street mixed-use development is set to transform the Sydney City skyline and streetscape with five levels of basement car parking and retail tenancies.

“We are planning to deliver a new mixed-use precinct that creates further connectivity within the CBD and supports Sydney’s future as a world-class city,” explained Andrew Lau, General Manager of Han’s Group. The development spans eight consolidated sites and is bound by Liverpool, Castlereagh and Pitt Streets. The total area of the development site is 5,914sqm.

The site is above the Sydney Metro tunnels and requires concurrence from Sydney metro to ensure structural integrity during construction and occupation.

Planning documents estimate the creation of 3,090 construction jobs and 750 ongoing jobs as a result of this project.
