An iconic new address in North Sydney, AURA by Aqualand is renowned developer Aqualand’s latest masterpiece, bringing together award-winning architects Woods Bagot and Richards Stanisich to deliver a collection of ultra-luxurious apartments, sub-penthouses, and penthouses.

Forged to perfection according to Aqualand’s ‘Live Better’ philosophy, AURA encompasses all aspects of the perfect lifestyle, from expansive interiors, luxurious inclusions, hotel-style amenities, curated retail and food and beverage options, a prized location, and a world-class concierge service.

We spoke to Alex Adams, Aqualand’s Head of Sales and Marketing, to discuss AURA and how you can ‘Live Better’ at this exclusive new address.

When asked what Aqualand’s ‘Live Better’ philosophy is, Adams replied, “It’s all about improving people’s lives. We’re creating a lifestyle. It’s not just about the home, but the experience given by the retail and hospitality precinct on the ground floor, the after-service we’re offering by our lifestyle concierge, and so on.

“It’s about attracting people to AURA and then showcasing how we can allow them to ‘Live Better.’”

And live better they can, with AURA's stunning multi-level hospitality precinct by Etymon Projects – soon to be a new neighbourhood destination and go-to place to gather and enjoy. The precinct consists of a providore, bakery, café and wine bar, an all-day diner, and a contemporary Japanese restaurant.

The lifestyle aspect of AURA is elevated even further with not just the world-class concierge within the building, but an expanded service called Black Key.

“This is akin to the AMEX Black Card,” explained Adams. “With this offering, you can call the concierge to organise virtually anything for you.

“This is the type of lifestyle service we’re offering. Everything we’re doing and providing, whether it’s the apartments, the exterior and interior design, the location, or service via the concierge, is of the utmost quality.

“An advantage that we also have now is that we have completed projects such as BLUE at Lavender Bay and The Revy in Darling Island, where we can demonstrate what we’ve done and how well we’ve done it. It’s not just talk, we’re able to showcase our ‘Living Better’ philosophy.”

Architecturally designed by award-winning architect Richards Stanisich, AURA’s interiors are not overlooked when the project boasts such coveted amenities and location. On the contrary, AURA’s oversized residences are what Adams considered the project’s standout feature.

“The average size of all the apartments is one of our key advantages,” he said. “This has opened up the doors to a lot of buyers who would not necessarily live in an apartment building because of the size.”

Adams explained that the design of AURA was revised three times, dropping the total number of apartments from 448 to 386.

“What that allowed us to do, while maintaining the existing space of the building, was increase the number of three-bedroom residences, introduced a large range of four bedrooms including sub-penthouses and penthouses, minimised the one-bedrooms, and then increased the size of the two-bedroom homes.

“Generally, if you go and buy a two-bedroom, you’re looking at about 80 sqm. Whereas our two-bedrooms offer a generous 95 sqm internally plus 12 to 19 sqm of a winter garden which is a genuine extension of the internal living space. So, it’s well over 100 sqm for a two-bedroom, and averaging about 140 to 150 sqm for a three-bedroom plus winter garden, so they’re well oversized,” Adams detailed.

“I think this is something that no one else in the Sydney market, especially the North Sydney market, has done. The only instance is when people or developers are developing in councils such as Castle Hill, where it is a council requirement to build two-bedrooms at 100 sqm or three-bedrooms at 120-plus. Usually, a developer will just build per what the council wants as a minimum, whereas we’ve increased our apartment sizes despite what the council mandates.”
