The South Yarra sensation, Entrecôte, has today opened a new restaurant, Entrecôte City.

Since opening in January 2015, the Parisian restaurant has attracted all the attention on Domain Rd from early morning croissants to late night digestifs.

Entrecôte City is located at 6 Alfred Place, and has taken over the building which was previously occupied by Prix Fixe.

Whilst Domain Rd’s Entrecôte had a fixation for steaks, the City’s version will also offer a crustacean area where seafood will be served. Accompanying this is a raw bar where raw sushi style fish can be consumed - the fish carpaccio with peas is bound to be a favourite.

Decked out with an interior to suit, Entrecôte City is hoping to match the demand, the reputation and the vibe that the South Yarra original has formed in just over six months - Jason M Jones is opening a sexy city sibling of the South Yarra outpost.Entrecôte City pulls off a green velvet look that could only be matched by George Costanza; cushions cover the comfortable couches, whilst hanging plants and an abundance of greenery make spending hours there a breeze.

From today, Entrecôte City will seat 70 people in Alfred Place and continue to serve its signature dish of steak frites while paying homage to Australia’s bounty of fresh seafood.

Once again Hopkins River Beef will supply the porterhouse cut which is served chargrill and doused in the secret ‘sauce au beurre herbs de la maison’ with bottomless frites and a petit salad for which Entrecôte has become known for.

Entrecôte City will be open from Monday to Saturday, with breakfast available from 7am - with a take-away window that will allow for both coffee and breakfast to be taken on the run - all the way until dinner.
