Gaggenau, one of the leading brands for kitchen appliances, has won a commendation in the Retail Design Category at the 2019 Australian Interior Design Awards.
Originally founded in 1683, the German company continually sets new standards in the private kitchen sector with its award-winning products. And Australians can experience the brand’s flagship store in Melbourne.
The one-of-a-kind showroom opened in South Melbourne in May last year. Since then, the general manager of the showroom, Robert Warner, said he and the team have been overwhelmed with the opportunity to engage with those who love the Gaggenau brand.
“From a Gaggenau perspective, we are constantly inspired by good design, professional cooking, and craftsmanship and we have tried to deliver a space that will inspire our customers — from architects, designers, developers, retail partners, and end consumers,” he said in an interview.
Aleks Efeian, senior brand manager, believes the key to Gaggenau Melbourne’s success comes from the company’s guiding philosophy.
“Consumer first — establishing a personal relationship is key and as more people seek bespoke experiences, we have found an increase in appointments and visits,” he said.
“We do not want to prescribe the ideal culinary culture, we want to help you realise yours,” Efeian said at the store’s opening last year.
“Our wish is for each and every one of our customers to experience the craftsmanship, precision, and quality of the leading luxury brand of home appliances in the world at every touch point along the journey.”
Many architects and interior designers flock to the showroom to try out the newest products, and these often end up being included as either standard fittings or upgrade options in brand-new developments across Australia.
The Sky Homes within The Landmark in Sydney, for instance, feature refined and elegant Boffi-made kitchens that are a gourmet chef’s dream. Not only do they come complete with Gaggenau integrated appliances but they also feature natural stone benchtops and abundant sleek storage solutions.
Meanwhile, the development team behind Highgreen in Melbourne’s Glen Iris is offering a free upgrade to Gaggenau appliances for the next 3 purchasers. Construction recently commenced on the project, and residents can enjoy seamless cooking before indulging in feasts in the gorgeously landscaped gardens and green balconies.
