Fortis has arrived in Newstead with Crest & Walker, a boutique collection of 65 residences rising from the crest of Kyabra Street, one of the suburb’s highest residential addresses. Positioned between the iconic James Street and the energy of Gasworks Plaza, it’s a home built for people who have already done the downsizing math and simply want more room to live well.

“We’ve always known this site here at Kyabra St had the potential to become something special, and we wanted to create a building that would genuinely contribute to its story,” said Dan Boman, general manager of QLD at Fortis.

Every floor plate here is boutique by design. From Level 2 to 10, each level holds just four residences of two-bedroom, two-bathroom arrangements with a single car space, sized from around 100 sqm total living. Architecturally designed by award-winning Bureau^Proberts, interiors lean into a soft, tonal material palette with engineered stone benchtops in the two-bedroom homes, natural stone in the three-bedrooms, and engineered timber flooring throughout, with double-glazed windows tuned for acoustic and thermal comfort in each.

A rooftop built for tranquility, not spectacle

Rather than an oversized entertainment deck, the rooftop at Crest & Walker is a restrained wellness retreat. Residents will be a lift ride away from a heated pool, sauna and steam room, and dining and BBQ areas landscaped by Arcadia.
