Amari is a sculptural collection of boutique residences positioned in elevated Toowong, overlooking the Brisbane River and city skyline.

Designed, developed and built in-house by Joe Adsett, Amari represents a refined continuation of the studio’s Subtropical Modernism philosophy — architecture that responds to climate, light and landscape while delivering enduring spatial quality.

Comprising a limited number of generously proportioned residences, the building is defined by its curved architectural form, layered façade and integrated greenery. The design softens the structure against its urban setting, creating a calm, private retreat above the river corridor.

Each residence has been carefully composed to maximise outlook, cross-ventilation and natural light. Expansive glazing frames river and skyline views, while deep balconies extend living spaces outward, encouraging seamless indoor–outdoor living suited to Brisbane’s subtropical climate.

Interiors are grounded in texture and materiality. Engineered timber flooring, natural stone surfaces and custom joinery create a warm, restrained palette. Kitchens are appointed with premium integrated appliances and generous storage, balancing function with architectural clarity.

Residents enjoy access to an exclusive rooftop amenity including a 12-metre swimming pool, wellness facilities and landscaped spaces designed for privacy and retreat. The elevated position enhances both outlook and breeze, reinforcing a sense of separation from the urban environment below.
